Do you ever need to find new inspiration in your work, or your career? I’ve been reading David Lorenzo’s Career Intensity Blog since early this year and have found a cornucopia of great advice and ideas within.
I highly recommend reading David’s blog, no matter if you are happy with your current position or looking for a new one. His advice is top-notch and timeless.
While there are a number of great posts that I could link to, I’ll leave it to you to find the posts that are interesting and relevant. Some examples of the tremendous resources available on his blog are resume tips, interview advice, career inspiration, investing in yourself, etc…
No matter where you start on David’s blog, you can’t help but find something of importance to you!

I’m not going to say that I’m back into the blogging grove, but something happened when I got home tonight. Just seemed like the right time to pound through some posts.
I don’t know how many I’ve written tonight for both sites, but I’ve got a good rhythm going so I’ll try to get some items posted. Not sure that I’ll feel the same way the rest of the week, but we’ll see how it goes.
I’ve got an idea or two that I’m going to try to incorporate into my schedule this week to see how it goes. One of the things I’ve tried to do (and failed) is to get out of the office during lunch to get a fresh perspective. I used to do this a lot before we moved into the city, and something that I hope to get back to once we leave the city.
The day always goes a little smoother when you leave the office for an hour and have some time to think, thrash to some tunes, or simply watch the clouds go by. We’ll see if I can keep making the time to do that.

Is anyone else tired of listening to Gartner Study reports? Their ability to state the obvious is amazing, even to me.
Every time my employer starts looking at a new technology or a solution, the typical, tired, old Gartner report is trotted out to parade around in front of the execs to demonstrate how useful or cost-affective it is.
Doesn’t anyone else notice that the crap in these reports is not worth the TP its printed on? I mean, the amount of filler in these documents is silly, wasteful and still doesn’t present the reality of a given technology, solution or company.
And that last one really gets me – companies actually pay Gartner good money to present the (again) obvious information about them.
The only redeeming thing about a Gartner report is that unknowing nitwits in the EIEIO club think their getting valuable information that can’t be found anywhere else; especially from their lowly staff members who live and breath the knowledge supposedly represented in these reports.
If they only knew what these reports are not tell them.

Well I’ve had about enough – with work that is. Seems like whenever someone doesn’t understand something and is unable to stretch or grow, that they simply choose to say no. Or “prove it to me”.
HA! Pay attention and you may get it some year.
I’ve got more to say, but it’ll have to wait – work to do here,

Sorry to everyone, I’ve been so busy at work that I’ve not had time to post much. Actually, I’ve not really been able to write about much, and I don’t know why.
Most of the last two weeks when I’ve sat down and started a post, I change my mind about a line or two in – its been frustrating. There is so much work on my plate during the day, that I simply haven’t found the interest to poke around all my favorite blogs and sites on the ‘net.
It sure is frustrating, it must be “bloggers block” that many bloggers have talked about.
My problem at the moment seems to follow the pattern that everyone goes through, either work or life or something takes up more time and since we all need some “down time”, blogging is something that seems to get set aside for awhile. It’s not like I don’t have anything to say, but I just am having trouble finding the right words.
Another thing that’s not helping right now is that I feel uninspired, I think because of my workload. Well, that’s enough for now, its my daughter’s birthday this weekend, and we’ve got a lot of things to do. Though I will be trying to get back to some writing – I do have a list of posts/articles/reviews, that I would like to eventually get to, so I do have some hope.
Later.
