Well it almost looks like Verizon is commiting to releasing the Moto Q on May 31st. Guess I’ll believe it when I see it. Sounds like a great phone, and the sooner it gets into the public, the better for all smarphone users in the end.
Next we need to get the new ‘HTC Star Trek’ clamshell phone out onto the carriers networks.

Is next week the week? Will it really happen? Is it really a BlackBerry ‘killer’? Can I stop asking silly questions?* According to Engadget Mobile, Motorola has announced that the Q will be released next week.
I’m really excited to finally see a slim & trim Windows Mobile Smartphone-based phone with a QWERTY keyboard and landscape QVGA screen. Yes, this is the CDMA/EVDO version, so it’ll be available on Verizon (and later Sprint) right away, but we’ll have to wait until the end of the year for the GSM/UMTS version – or so they say. Go check out Engadget’s post on the latest Q news.

The Motorola Q smartphone is a great looking device and may be a great smartphone, but will any of us find out? There have been many false release dates and such about the device, and in typical Motorola fasion, they just can’t seem to get their devices ready for prime time in a reasonable amount of time.
Check out this post over at Engadget Mobile and then participate in the survey at Smartphone Thoughts.
Oh, and msmobiles.com has another post about the Q.

Update: So CoolSmartphone.com is saying that it’s not coming in April – too bad, this phone is crazy-awesome!
