Early preview of Treo 700p

There is a nice preview of the Treo 700p posted over at Brighthand.  AdamaDBrown describes the initial observations on the device including EVDO connectivity on the Sprint network.  Also touched on is the higher resolution display, and the ability to use the device as a wireless modem.  It looks like a solid device that builds on the previous successes of the Treo 650s and the Windows Mobile based 700w.

Moto Q – Finally?

Is next week the week?  Will it really happen?  Is it really a BlackBerry ‘killer’?  Can I stop asking silly questions?*  According to Engadget Mobile, Motorola has announced that the Q will be released next week.

I’m really excited to finally see a slim & trim Windows Mobile Smartphone-based  phone with a QWERTY keyboard and landscape QVGA screen.  Yes, this is the CDMA/EVDO version, so it’ll be available on Verizon (and later Sprint) right away, but we’ll have to wait until the end of the year for the GSM/UMTS version – or so they say.  Go check out Engadget’s post on the latest Q news.

Upcoming BlackBerry Review(s)

Since I’m going to be investigating several different BlackBerry devices and the four major mobile providers in the US over the next few weeks, I’m going to do some reviews here on the blog.

The devices I’ll be reviewing will be:

  • BlackBerry 8700c on Cingular
  • BlackBerry 7105t on T-Mobile
  • BlackBerry 7130e on Verizon
  • BlackBerry 7250 on Sprint

So I’ll try and get these reviews up as I work with each model – I’ve got the 8700c for the weekend so if I find the time, that’ll happen soon.
