Very interesting – if this article from Engadget Mobile (link below) is true, then Verizon customers will have no trouble roaming off-continent with this device.
I’ve known they were working on this type of solution for awhile, but frankly, I’m surprised that they have it ready to go in the timeframe mentioned in the article.
Verizon subs waiting for the latest BB goodness, your wait is over!
So we’re deep into the packing phase of moving to our new townhouse. Its surprising to me how much stuff a person accumulates over the years. Just things that really don’t add to a person’s goals.
We’ve been purging old office stuff, old furniture, books, etc… The nice part about the purging effort is that we’ll have less to move when the time comes.
Anyway, back to work today to tackle the tasks that bring in the paycheck! Lots to do here as well – anyone know where I can buy a few hours to add to each day? Preferably, they would come fully rested and not hungry either :).
This is good news to those that have been waiting! Writely is now open to new registrations. Techcrunch has an interesting column about the affect that Google may be having on other online office solutions, specifically related to this week’s announcement of Kiko shutting down service.
That is what I’m finding I need to do here. I’ve yet to find my niche in the blog world rather than simply linking all over the place. Its one thing that bothers the crap out of me – linking to news bits all over the place.
I like to share things I find, but it seems like that’s most of the posts I’ve got here. ProBlogger.net has a lot of great ideas for focusing on blogging and developing your own style, but I’ve yet to have the time to really dig into all the content Darren has.
So my newly upgraded MDA seems to have different volume levels for different sounds. The phone has one level, media player another (both within my expectations) and a different one for reminder sounds.
Yikes!
When a reminder goes off, it seems like 3 times as loud as the ring tone. I’ve been through the sound & volume settings a dozen times, but can’t get a handle on what’s driving the higher reminder volumes.
I also run Pocket Informant and Pocket Breeze for PIM management and Today Screen display of information. Both of these applications don’t have settings for reminders or sounds.
Its baffling me, I’ve never run across this in 5 years of PPC ownership. Definitely the old ROMs for the MDA and other variants like the Qtek and iMate don’t exhibit this volume issue.
As governor, the State Capitol will stand for unity and common sense.
In addition to the POW/MIA flag that has long flown over the State Capitol, we will fly two flags when I am governor: the Wisconsin state flag and the American flag.
