It may be true – Brighthand has an article about the elusive new HP iPaq phone! Lets hope this is true, as the iPaq 6500/6900 follows the form factor of the Palm Treo line of PDA Phones, including a very useful QWERTY keyboard below the screen and many data-centric items.

I was quite surprised today when an IT Mgmt staff member asked a few of us about blogging! This is really interesting, as there are many reasons for our company to set up both an external blogging presence, and an internal one as well. There are many simple Mgmt –> employee communications that could be done through a short blog post. There are many things employees can communicate to each other and different departments instead of mass emails that many don’t read. Notifications from HR or IT could be done in this fasion as well for non-critical items. Blogging in general is simply one more way for people and companies to communicate. With the use of XML feed technologies such as RSS and ATOM, any user can have a constant stream of news being fed to their computer so they don’t have to go surf the ‘Net for it.
Can’t wait to see if anything comes of this – its an interesting year at my company, lots of opportunity for new things.

Its been awhile since I’ve posted here on my space – I’ve been very busy with work and am really starting to favor WordPress over MSN Spaces and Blogger (see
Rick’s Ramblings and
Rickster). There just seems to be more flexibility in both those environments than Spaces has to offer. Especially WordPress – I’ve really fallen for its power and ease of use. The extensibility is fantastic as well. Blogger has some good customization options, and integration with Google’s AdSense program is cool, though I understand Spaces has just added a similar feature.
I guess overall, it just is a simple thing of Spaces seeming to be a "starter" blogging service, and something like WordPress a much more mature platform. I’ll still keep this blog updated periodically, but my main posting will probably end up on the WordPress blog – I may change my domain to point there as well just to make it easier to find.

Well I’m looking forward to the release of the T-Mobile MDA & SDA in February. Just so everyone knows, Engadget has dug up pricing on the two new models and the scheduled release dates.
