Wondering why change is such a traumatic force for so many people.

  1. Well, yeah. Change is difficult for everyone but some people like it (and embrace it) more than other people do. Other people do not. Some of my friends are going through some changes in their lives which don't seem significant to me, yet it is an extremely difficult time for them – for some reason it is very different for them to leave the old and move into a new and better space.

  2. I found that a unique lesson to learn myself. I found that I desired (heck, needed) change, but many peers at an old job were content to keep doing the same things. I often wonder what's in store for the future and get excited when I see change happening. My cousin, however, is the exact opposite and get's uncomfortable when even talking about change. I guess I come away from it realizing that to make the world go round, we all have a part to play and sometimes many folks prefer to keep going with the tried & true, slowly working themselves up to new ideas.
