There are so many younger folks I network with and see at events and in business - and they're very good at being practical and getting the job done. Many I know have started families and are focused on spending time with them rather than elsewhere. While it may not be the case everywhere, it inspired me a bit. Facebook, twitter etc don't help me and my siblings stay in contact with our grandparents. But technology today is definitely being used to maintain connections - at least - with a wide range of people. My family are in connection with a whole bunch of distant relatives who we have hardly met, thanks to facebook. That's the sweetest picture, that young man and his grandma ;) I don't know about Gen Y rediscovering the value of family connections – at least deep ones. Facebook, twitter etc don't help me and my siblings stay in contact with our grandparents. But technology today is definitely being used to maintain connections – at least – with a wide range of people.
