It depends…

Funny how many questions have answer that start with those two words. This tends to be exceptionally true of the coporatization of social media.

The complexities of the requirements for big business and their employees is not as clear cut as it is for small, aggressive start-ups. In the end, the reality is that discretion is required on both sides; by the people who post or create media, and the people who read or consume media.

  • You need the pay but, are frusterated that your Employer depends on you too much, yet takes you for granted at the same time. Special Field, and very small bussiness. I have a lot of freedoms but, I like to get off on time if I am not due to recieve overtime. I end up adding the hours on to comp time. Don't be mean just speak your mind.

    @BestFlashSites, you point out an interesting trend that many employers find acceptable. That being flexible on comp time and other arrangements to accommodate people's lifestlyes. It helps when you're kind of tied to a specific job.

  • youll always get an answer of it depends when the question starts what if? ie there are many factors in the question let alone a striaght answer
  • I think it varies from person to person. I don't mind saying, "It depends..."
  • I use "it depends" many times every day. I use it at work too. Everything is relative so when the time comes to give an explanation or a definition "It all Depends"
