I love the Cardio Trainer. Love the talking feature it has so you can set it to tell you how far you have gone, or how much time has passed. The new google app for tracking distances though is nice also. Its a toss up I guess. I am going to run my first half marathon and will be using my G1 to help with my training.

…another cool app is CardioTrainer! Helped give me that final push that made me realize I am in love with my G1. CardioTrainer tracks my runs, bike rides, hikes, etc and then gives me performance stats…has made training for my marathon in March sooooo much easier!

Cool. I’ll have to check it out. I don’t have a G1 but it sounds like it ould be worth the investment.

While I haven’t seen anything like what you describe for routes, times, and such, the Fitness app is in the Marketplace. You can find it under “Lifecycle” in the Applications portion of the Android Market.

I only look for apps directly from my G1 rather than from any other application source. Hope this helps you find it.

Can you provide a link to the G1 fitness application? I was unable to find it or any other fitness related programs for the G1 (tried android.com/marketplace, androidgear.com and google searches). Even better would be a gps program that recorded running routes and times, such as the tracker software for gps-enabled sony phones (http://tinyurl.com/6rstnm). Have you seen any such applications for the G1? Thanks!
