Comment by Rick Mahn I’ve done that though too - sometimes it’s too easy. In Spring Valley, WI there was a couple natural caves. One was large and safe enough for people to visit - so an enterprising family, long ago, started tours of it. It is called Crystal Cave for all the natural crystals found in it.
At any rate, I lived in Spring Valley for more than 10 years and never went there - even when one of my best friends worked there and I could have gone for free. Funny how we tend to forget or ignore interesting things in our own backyard.

It always bugs me when people would rather go somewhere, anywhere, than what’s in their backyard. NIMBYism.
It’s funny how I’ve lived in this town for almost a year now and I’ve visited places that people who’ve lived here much longer than me have never been to.
