Sjors - Twitter has been limiting how much history or archive is available the last few months as they've been working on the scaling and reliability issues. Because of this, folks like us who've been on Twitter for a long time won't be able to find their first tweet right now. I think I remember them talking about some of the things affecting this on the Twitter Blog.

Hey there Voyagerfan5761 It does work well… when Twitter works! As you mention, when they bring up a few more servers, it should help a bit.

Wow, I had this exact idea today. I want to find my first tweet for a blog post, but since you posted this Twitter has crippled the paging and limited it to the most recent 10 pages of tweets. Too bad. I’m sure this tip will work again… if (when) Twitter ever gets its act together.

Um. There are 20 tweets per page. So… divide your total number of tweets by 20 and that will give the page for the “page=” number.

Dave, Thanks for stopping by! You’re right of course on the topic of feeds – guess I as trying to be a bit sarcastic. I really enjoyed the tip and learning how other people use Twitter as well!
