I'll be trying to incorporate some of these things as I learn what works and so on. The live talking stuff is boring unless you are a celebrity, villain, family member or close friend. If you think about it, one is not really using the medium if s/he is just looking into the camera with a single fixed shot and just talking. Podcast would be better in those circumstances. The unfortunate reality time-wise of consistently entertaining, interesting video is that it takes time to produce. The more time you spend typically the better the finished product.
