  • The nude antics of contestants on Australia's Big Brother have prompted politicians to demand a review of how much nudity can be shown on TV.

  • TDavid, much appreciated feedback! :) Most people don't like to be specific, but I really do appreciate your hints and tips. I'll be trying to incorporate some of these things as I learn what works and so on.

I'll also work on having a "show" layout, or list of topics to talk about with some graphics or other components to go with it. Very true, about spending more time on production... I'll try to keep it more interesting and lively.

I just picked up WebcamMax (and ManyCam & Super WebCam), are there any other camera software packages that you recommend?

    Thanks,
  • Rick - since you asked for feedback: mix it up at least a little by adding some images, captions, transitions, screenshots, *edit* (hint: Windows Movie Maker on Windows or iMovie on Mac).

The live talking stuff is boring unless you are a celebrity, villain, family member or close friend. If you think about it, one is not really using the medium if s/he is just looking into the camera with a single fixed shot and just talking. Podcast would be better in those circumstances.

The unfortunate reality time-wise of consistently entertaining, interesting video is that it takes time to produce. The more time you spend typically the better the finished product.
  • Dave, I'll be watching for your post! I think I'll be doing more video blogging on days that I don't feel like typing, and then trying to spend more time crafting the posts that I do feel like writing.

    Anyway, thanks!
  • Great first post! Hopefully I'll get around to making one soon..... maybe I'll go give it a whirl right now.
