T-Mobile Ranks Highest in Customer Service. Again

Some question why I stick with T-Mobile when there are so many other choices.  Many mobile service providers have better phone selections or provide faster mobile data services.

One of the reasons is that the service I get from their support teams is unmatched.  The other big reason is the very competitive pricing compared to the other national carriers.  3G will come along in due time – I have no desire (or the pocketbook) to pay bleeding-edge prices for mobile data.  I’ve also got the phone that I had been waiting nearly 5 years for.

Though, 2007 seems like it will be a great year for T-Mobile again as they have the wireless spectrum to roll out 3G services.  They are also focusing on bringing the best phones in price/performance to their lineup.  Their work on getting the BlackBerry Pearl, and the Windows Mobile based Dash are examples of this.  Affordable phones that fit the needs of their customers, not just the 1% that want’s the latest phone to hit the FCC website.

My T-Mobile MDA will be a year old in March, though I have been using one since Oct. 2005.  It has been everything that I’d ever wanted in a phone since PDAs started morphing into the phone category.  And with T-Mobile’s continued effort in customer satisfaction, I’ll remain a Tmo customer with their upcoming network upgrades and phone selection.

I live in Canada, but have a T-Mobile line only for Blackberry. I pay $49.99 for unlimited data plus $29.99 for Unlimited International Roaming. I've been with T-mobile for 2 years and really love their service. Always someone there to answer any questions you may have.

I would like to ask: How can your Co. state that customer can termination service without a fee. This is what I heard on a news report, But when I call to comfirm it was only for California resident?
  • Well "Unhappy Customer", I'm sorry that you're having the issues you are. No, I've no connection to T-Mobile other than being a customer.

The website is www.t-mobile.com and there is a login to "My T-Mobile" in the top section of the website. You can access your account information there.

Did you call T-Mobile's customer support by dialing 611 on your mobile phone? It's a free call, and they would be able to walk you through all the steps necessary if you're not familiar with the process.

Boy, would I like to get paid for recommending T-Mobile, but all my praise was earned by the company through good service and consistently meeting my expectations. While your mileage may vary, I've had good experience with them.

I do have criticisms of the company, however, and it's mainly related to their woefully inadequate 3G (or high-speed data) service. Way too long in being announced, at least 2 years behind everyone - and I'm being generous in that.

As for your experience, I would call T-Mobile and see if they can help you find what you're looking for. Shouting here isn't going to solve the problem for you.

    Good luck!

Ok. I hear how happy you are to have t-moblie. Are you an employee with an inside connection? I am not an employee so I do not have to pretend to love my service. All I am trying to do is find the website to view my account. I have been searching for an hour now. I followed the automated instructions and entered in the website. A million sites come up with mostly unsatisfied comments and horrer stories. I have been fortunate that I have had a positive experience until now. I would like to view my account to see why my bill has been $50.00 more than it should be for the last 5 months. I cant get connected to a live represenative to interpret the bill for me so I followed the instructions to go to the T-Mobile website. WHERE IS IT???????????????? I hope this is not the customer service they were awarded the JD Power award for. I suppose there are no complaints on record if us UNHAPPY customers cant even get a hold of someone to complain. Thats what I call cooking the books. Beware JD Power, we are beginning to believe they paid you off to win the award.......
  • Bill, from what I've heard, the 3G launch is sometime in 1st quarter of 2008. There was some hubbub earlier this month suggesting that Tmo was going to make an announcement on their 3G service, but it didn't come about.

Hopefully, their 3G network will be turned on soon - I think we've all been extremely patient waiting for it. I'm curious what Windows Mobile 3G unit's they'll have when they launch. I need to replace my MDA.

I also have T-Mobile services, and like you have found their service to be unmatched. I use their $5.99 T-Mobile Web (T-Zones) and though it isn't the fastest of services around, for the money, it is just fine. I purchased a HTC 8525 (unlocked) and put my SIM in and it works just fine. The reason I bought this particular phone is because it is 3G enabled already; I anticipate that T-Mobile will offer 3G at some time in the future. Do you know when they are planning on this upgrade to their service?
