MobileCrunch » Nokia Unveils Phone Firmware Updater

ScreenHunter_99.jpgAccording to MobileCrunch, Nokia is finally making it easier for their customers to upgrade the firmware in their phones.

It really makes me laugh, Windows Mobile devices (including phones) have had this capability from day one. Whenever the device OEM developed an enhanced or updated firmware, the customer was able to download and install within hours.

On rare occasions such as an OS upgrade from PPC 2002 to 2003, some OEMs charged a nominal $30 or so for the upgrade, but the option to do this was always there.

In the end its a good thing for Nokia customers, and I can only imagine that they will incorporate this in all future phones/devices in addition to as many shipping products that they can. Good move Nokia.

HA!

Typical BBC, and msmobiles.com is correct in its analysis of their bias against practically anything American.  The left-leaning aspect is disappointing as well (to say the least), but that’s what you get from most any large news organization.

At the same time, I do have to recognize the BBC as a very good world-leader in news gathering, and overall in reporting facts.  Something the American press conveniently leaves out most often.

Can’t sleep

Not having a great time trying to get to sleep tonight.  Amy and I have been talking of goals and plans for the future, and parts of the discussion have me too excited to sleep.

I’ll be dead tired tomorrow, but I needed to get up and blog a bit.  So you may see a few posts here, at TML and at SB.  Lots of fun.

Comment Spam

Well, I’ve updated my comment spam monitor to filter a few more spammers that seem to have slipped through.

Its though enough as it is without idiots like these spammers hitting a personal blog.  What is there to gain from targeting personal blogs?

Ugh, I guess I should really focus my disappointment towards the real idiots that actually are stupid enough to click on this type of advertising, emails, and blog posts.  These people are the real problem because they create an environment where the spammers can make money.

F***ers!

Moved

Well, we’re moved for the most part. All that’s left is some clean- up work that we’ll finish up later this week.
It’s been a tough weekend with a lot of help from family. So without an Internet connection I decided to post from my phone, which can sometimes be a trying experience.

At any rate, we are in our temporary residents until our place is finished being built. Its estimated at about 3 to 4 weeks, and we can hardly wait as we’re kind of living out of suitecases until then.

More later.
